The Ministry of Construction issued "The
Regulations on Administration of Building Energy
Conservation"(exposure draft) in 2006, requiring the power consumption
to be minimized in the processes of building design and construction. And the land agent’s
land development license will be suspended if it fails to display in public
the indices of power consumption while selling houses.
In addition, the "Measures for Supervision and Administration of
Energy-saving Quality in Civil Construction Projects" printed and
distributed by the Ministry of Construction on July 31, 2006 also expressed
clearly that, the energy conservation standard of building must be enforced
strictly in all civil construction projects, and the approved design and
energy conservation standard must be followed seriously, no modification to
the design document is permitted without prior approval.
